Request For Applications Into Political Offices Was A Leaked Draft — Anambra Governor-Elect, Soludo

Prof Chukwuma Soludo, the governor-elect of Anambra State, has disclaimed the news making the rounds that he has invited those who want to work for him as political appointees to apply.

A notification had earlier been circulated in the media purportedly from the Dr Oby Ezekwesili-led transition committee, issued on her behalf by the committee’s Executive Director, urging those interested in serving under the former CBN chief to apply at www.anambratalent.ng.

However, Soludo has, in a different notice signed by the same Director, titled: ” Leak of the Zero Draft of the Program Document Of Talent Hunt Initiative”, apologized for the development and asked the public to disregard the said Notice

“It has come to our attention that a wrong press release directing individuals to apply for political appointments in Anambra state has been circulating on various digital platforms. We apologize for this development and ask the general public to kindly ignore the incorrect document and information being circulated.” The new Notice reads

Soludo says a new Press Release will be issued on Monday 4 February 2022 with guidelines on how expression of interest may be made

He said, “The accurate press release on the Anambra Talent Hunt Initiative will be issued on Monday, February 14,2022 on all social media handles of the Governor Elect.

“The announcement will give specific direction on how to express interest to be volunteers or apply for roles in the government of Anambra State. It will also convey the accurate platform for all applications to be submitted.”
