The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN will be conferred with the national honour of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) in acknowledgement of his services to the nation as a Legal Practitioner of repute and for his service to humanity.
The NBA President will receive the national honour at an event to be presided by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja on October 11, 2022.
The NBA President has expressed his gratitude to God Almighty, the Bestower of all honours, and the Federal Government for the national award. He stated that he remains committed to a Bar that focuses on the promotion of the rule of law in Nigeria.
