CALL FOR MEMORANDA AND INVITATION TO PUBLIC HEARING
Distinguished Colleagues,
By a letter dated 6 January 2023 but delivered on 10 January 2023, the House Committee on Human Rights has invited the Nigerian Bar Association to the Public Hearing on the Bill for an Act to Amend the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, No. 4 of 2015 to include the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and Social Development in its Governing Board, Review the mode of appointing the Director General of the Agency, to strengthen the Act by reviewing the Offences and Penalty Provisions; and Related Matters (HB.2102), which was referred to it by the House of Representatives for further legislative action. A copy of the Bill is attached for your reference.
The Hearing is scheduled as follows:
Date:     Monday 16 January 2023
Venue: Conference Room 236, New Building, House of Representatives, National Assembly Complex, Abuja
Time:    11:00am prompt
The Committee is also requesting for memoranda on the Bill in 30 copies with a soft copy attached. All memoranda are to be submitted at the Hearing.
