The Nigerian Bar Association has praised the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission for its decision to evaluate the salaries of the country’s judicial authorities.

This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the association’s Press Secretary, Akorede Lawal, obtained by our correspondent.

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), had on Monday, during a courtesy visit by the NBA Executive Council, restated “the approval of President Muhammad Buhari for the immediate implementation of enhanced salaries and allowances for Nigerian judicial officers.”

Part of the statement read, “The commission had commenced the process of reviewing the remuneration of judicial office holders to reflect the present socio-economic realities in the country.”
