Police Arrest Three with Two Human Hearts in Lagos

Three individuals suspected to be involved in dealing with human parts were apprehended by operatives of the Zone 2 Police Command in Onikan, Lagos State.

The arrested suspects were identified as Adrbanjo Wasiu, Moshood Najimdeen, and Segun Asunni.

SP Umma Ayuba, the new spokesperson for the zone, confirmed the arrest of the suspects in a statement issued on Wednesday.

SP Ayuba stated, ‘Operatives from the Zone 2 Police Command, responsible for Lagos and Ogun states, apprehended Moshood Najimdeen ‘m’ at his residence in the Oke-Ola area of Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. During a search at his residence, two suspected human hearts were discovered.’

‘Upon interrogation, the suspect alleged that he had paid fifty thousand naira (N50,000.00k) to Adebanjo Wasiu ‘m’, who he claimed helped him obtain the two human hearts. Adebanjo Wasiu ‘m’, in turn, implicated Segun Asunni ‘m’ as the source of the hearts,’ she explained.

SP Ayuba added that an investigation into the alleged offence had commenced. The two suspected human hearts have been sent to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for thorough examination and confirmation. Further findings will be communicated.
