The Chief Judge of Plateau State, Justice David Mann, yesterday commended troops of Operation Safe Haven for their efforts at ensuring that peace reigns across the nook and cranny of the Plateau.

The Chief Judge gave the commendation when the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 3 Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander Operation Safe Haven, Major General Ibrahim Ali, paid a courtesy visit to his office at High Court of Justice Complex in Jos.

A statement by the Military Information Officer, Operation Save Haven, Major Ishaku Takwa, explained that Justice Mann noted that the continued peace being enjoyed recently on the Plateau was as a result of the concerted efforts of the troops of Operation Safe Haven deployed under the command of a hardworking leader.

The chief judge also noted the significance of synergy among officials involved in the Criminal Justice System.

Earlier, the GOC 3 Div and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN, Major General Ibrahim Ali, recommended the significance of stiffer punishment to deter criminal-minded persons from breaking the law, even as he reaffirmed the commitment of Operation Safe Haven to the rule of law and professional discharge of its responsibilities devoid of any sentiment.
