People Flocking to Lagos Because of Security – AG
The Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo, has described the state as the safest in the country due to the diligence exhibited by law enforcement officers among others.
Onigbanjo said this, according to a statement on Wednesday, during the 2022 merit award and end-of-year event organised for the departments and agencies in his ministry.
He said, “We appreciate all efforts to ensure the ministry runs smoothly. The Solicitor General and I can’t do this without you and as we go to war against citizens that break the law of Lagos State, when we turn back and see the formidable team from all the departments and agencies, we are sure of winning the war.
“Lagos is the safest state in Nigeria simply because of the work that you all have done. The assiduousness displayed by all is one of the reasons why Lagos State still enjoys relative safety which has resulted in a large influx of people.
“It is because of the work you do in prosecuting crimes, defending the state against frivolous cases and drafting laws that ensure the state achieves its potential as a 21st-century state.”
The ministry’s Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Titilayo Shitta-Bey, congratulated the award winners and urged them to put in more effort in 2023.
