Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has stated that the name of his late boss, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu will forever be etched in the memories of the people.

Aiyedatiwa emphasised that the enduring legacies and impacts made by the late Akeredolu are evident not only in the state but across the country.

The governor had on Thursday led members of the State Executive Council on a condolence visit to the residence of the former Ondo State Governor in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

While paying tribute to his late predecessor, Aiyedatiwa described him as a sincere, courageous, selfless, and patriotic leader.

He noted that the late Akeredolu had tirelessly fought for the welfare of his people, spearheaded developmental initiatives, and positively impacted numerous lives.

According to him, Akeredolu was a caring and compassionate husband, father, and grandfather.

He expressed gratitude for the rare privilege of having served under Governor Akeredolu’s tutelage.

Responding on behalf of the Akeredolu family, the younger brother of the deceased, Pastor Kola Akeredolu, thanked the delegation led by Governor Aiyedatiwa for the thoughtful visit.
