On Saturday 1 April 2023, I attended the first-ever African Heritage Concert & Awards (Afri-Heritage 23) which took place at the Kigali Marriot in Kigali, Republic of Rwanda and I went home with the AFRICAN LEGAL ICON AWARD.

According to the organisers, I was presented with this award in recognition of my landmark accomplishments, my genuine service to humanity & my positive contributions to the growth and advancement of the African Continent especially in my capacity as NBA President (2020 – 2022).

I thank the Heritage Times, organisers of this Award Ceremony for this very humbling honour and I celebrate the other Awardees especially Dr. Goodluck Jonathan GCFR who was presented with the African Democracy and Peace Icon Award as well as Seretse Khama Ian Khama, Former President of Botswana, Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, the Vice President of Liberia and Professor P.L.O. Lumumba of Kenya.

Above all, I dedicate this award to my Partners at Templars, all of whom agreed to let me take a sabbatical for two years to fully concentrate on the highly demanding job of NBA President. I also appreciate all staff of Templars for their remarkable contributions.
