Bloompulse, a business finance app, has officially launched, aiming to transform how small business owners manage their finances, track performance, and make data-driven decisions to boost profitability.
Speaking in Lagos at the launch, during a workshop, titled: ‘The Business of Baking’ where 40 entrepreneurs in the baking industry were trained on sustainable and profitable business practices, CEO of Bloompulse, Olusiji David, highlighted the app’s vision.
“As a software engineer and entrepreneur, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges small businesses face in managing their finances. Bloompulse bridges this gap by equipping users with actionable data to craft and refine financial strategies, ultimately boosting their chances of success,” David explained.
He further called on the government to play its part in creating a more conducive environment for small businesses by improving infrastructure, providing affordable power supply, ensuring Internet access, and facilitating access to loans.
“Small business growth is critical for Nigeria’s economy, and solutions like Bloompulse can provide the support they need to thrive,” he said.
Co-founder and software developer Faith Adekogbe, emphasised the importance of leveraging technology to drive business growth.
“From engaging in targeted social media marketing to setting up online stores, technology offers incredible opportunities for small businesses to expand their reach and track their progress effectively,” Adekogbe stated.
She also urged policymakers to address economic challenges, including fluctuating exchange rates and limited access to affordable resources, often hindering business growth.
