The Lagos State Chapter of the Labour Party is set to hold a town hall meeting this Friday, 28th of March 2024. The town hall meeting will be held at the new Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA Party Secretariat which will also be launched on that day.

This was revealed in a press statement made by the newly appointed State Publicity Secretary, Barrister Adeola Onikoyi. According to Barrister Onikoyi, the town hall meeting is set to be a very powerful one. The Publicity Secretary made it known that attendance is expected from all local governments in the state as the Labour Party in Lagos State is set on a path of reconciliation and rebuilding.

The event is also expected to be attended by the National Leadership of the Party, led by Barrister Julius Abure. Also in attendance on the day will be the National Secretary, Alh.Umar Farouk, the Deputy National Chairman Southwest, Dr. Ayo Olorunfemi, the Deputy National Secretary, Chief Kehinde Rotimi, the National Publicity Secretary, Comr. Obiorah Ifoh as well as the National Youth Leader, Prince Kennedy Ahanotu.

Significantly, on that day, the Labour Party will be receiving a high profile decampee in the person of Hon. Francis Barthlomew Omowale Chima popularly known as “OmoBarca” as well as thousands of his supporters. The Chief Host, Pst.Dr. Mrs. Dayo Ekong, the State Secretary, Chief Sam Okpala as well as elected members under the banner of the Labour Party will be on ground to welcome the National Leadership to the state, as well as the decampees, to the party.

The townhall event will be held at ABAYOMI HALL, 37 Cardoso Street, Awodi Ora, Ajegunle, Apapa, Lagos and start by 10AM.
