Kaduna Train Attack: NBA Loses Three Members Lawal, Mosugu And Farida, To Cold Hands Of Death

The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, has lost three of its members, Tibilere Mosugu, Ozigi Lawal and Farida Sulaiman, to the cold hands of death

The three of them were killed in the Abuja – Kaduna train bombing carried out by bandits on Tuesday night.

The death of Tibilere Mosugu was confirmed by the NBA Kaduna Branch in an obituary announcement signed by Oguguo C. Anoruo-Enujekwu, publicity secretary of the branch, which prayed for the repose of the lawyer in these words:

“We sadly announce the painful death of our member Tibilere Mosugu Esq whose shocking and untimely death occurred yesterday as a result of the train attack by bandits.

“May God rest his soul and comfort the Mosugu family and NBA Kaduna Branch of this heart breaking and irreplaceable loss.”

The death of Lawal on the other hand was confirmed by the Trade Union Congress (TUC). A terse statement from President of the Union, Peter Esele, reads: “The choice of being born in this country wasn’t yours to make. One thing I can attest to is your love and optimism for this country.

“Yesterday (Tuesday), the terrorist put off your light as you travel by train to Kaduna.

“Thank you for all the beautiful memories, our many travels over the years. Now your journey has ended, and another has begun. May the light and love of God, lead you on. Goodbye my Comrade SG.”

The Lawyer learnt that late Farida Sulaiman died also at the train bomb last. She was practicing with Yahaya Mahmood & Co.

Recall how terrorists on Monday night bombed the Abuja-Kaduna rail tracks and attacked a train filled with passengers.

Subsequently, the Nigerian Railway Corporation on Tuesday announced the suspension of train operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route indefinitely following the attacks.

The train attack was coming after terrorists, numbering over 200, on Saturday invaded the Kaduna International Airport located in Igabi Local Government Area in Kaduna State, disrupting operation and killing one security personnel of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency.

The attack caused panic at the airport and reportedly grounded a Lagos-bound AZMAN aircraft scheduled to take off at 12:30 pm.
