Election petition Tribunal sitting in Kano on Tuesday terminated the ambition of the eldest son of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Abba Ganduje to the Green chamber following dismissal of his petition with cost.

ABBA Ganduje had contested and lost to a ranking member of the House of Representatives, Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe of NNPP for Rimin Gado/Dawakin Tofa/ Tofa/ Federal constituency on March 25th, 2023.

The National/ State House of Assembly sitting in Kano Tuesday afternoon dismissed the petition filed by Umar Abdullahi Ganduje of APC challenging the victory of Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe of NNPP for Rimin Gado/Dawakin Tofa/ Tofa/ federal constituency.

The Three Panel of Judges dismissed the petition for lack of merit, as they awarded the sum of N200,000 to the Respondents.

The Tribunal averred that the petitioner had failed to present sufficient evidence to support the allegation during the conduct of the election.
