IGP Alkali Deploys DIG Egbetokun to FCID, 36 CPs to Various Formations

Following IGP Usman Alkali Baba’s approval, the Nigeria Police Force deployed recently promoted DIG Olukayode Egbetokun Adeolu on Friday to head the FCID at Force Headquarters in Abuja. 36 Commissioners of Police were also reassigned to other commands and formations.

The position is effective immediately, according to a statement sent by CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Public Relations Officer, and received by Chronicle NG.

The recently promoted Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Olukayode Egbetokun Adeolu, the supervising DIG for the South-West Geo-Political Zone, has been approved for posting to the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID) at Force Headquarters, Abuja, by Inspector-General of Police Usman Alkali Baba.

DIG Egbetokun, a native of Ogun State’s Yewa South Local Government Area, has a BSc. (Hons.) Degree in Mathematics Education, an MSc. in Engineering Analysis, and a Master’s of Business Administration. He has attended several courses both at home and abroad, and has worked in a variety of investigative, operational, and administrative roles, including Commander Rapid Response Squad (RSS) Lagos, Head Anti-Fraud, FCT Command, and CP Kwara State, among others. Until his recent elevation, he was the AIG in command of Zone 7 Abuja, which included the FCT and Niger State.

Also, the IGP has authorized the posting/redeployment of 36 Commissioners of Police to different Commands and Formations. Among the 36 CPs are the following:

All newly assigned and redeployed officers have been given instructions by the Inspector-General of Police to make every effort to ensure that their Commands, Formations, and Departments adhere to the Police Reform Mission. In addition, he gave them the responsibility of making sure that all SOPs were followed when it came time for them to perform their duties
