I Passed Test Of Character, Courage Not Paying APC Delegates — Tunde Bakare
The serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Church Pastor Tunde Bakare has commended his outing at the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary.
Although he failed to match his grit with action after he recorded no vote at the contest, Bakare stated that he had passed the test of character and courage by not paying delegates.
Prior to the ballot casting, the senior pastor had shunned calls for him to step down for other stronger contenders, vowing that he would rather step up.
At the end of the proceeding, the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, clinched the sole ticket at stake to become the APC presidential candidate.
In a terse statement on Thursday, Bakare was quoted saying he spoke the truth in the midst of wolves.
He said: I am happy that I have passed the test of character by not paying any delegate.
“I passed the test of courage, by speaking the truth in the midst of wolves and the test of conviction by standing true to my beliefs. Those who will make a difference must be different.”
