The Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has issued new assignments to 40 senior police officers. This change includes the redeployment of 14 AIGs and 26 CPs who are now set to serve in different commands across the country.
The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, shared this development in a statement on Thursday, underlining the objective of building a more competent, service-driven, law-compliant, and community-friendly police force. This decision also reflects the recent promotions of these senior officers to their higher ranks, a development that received approval from the Police Service Commission.

- Zone 11 Osogbo – AIG Patrick Edung
- Border Patrol FHQ – AIG Badru Lawal
- Zone 8 Lokoja – AIG Bartholomew Onyeka
- DOPS FHQ – AIG Suleiman Yusuf
- FCID Annex Alagbon Lagos – AIG Idowu Owohunwa
- Maritime Lagos – AIG Rhoda Olofu
- Zone 13 Ukpo Dunukofia Awka – AIG Godwin Aghaulor
