FG Lists More Motor Parks for 50% Rebate on Transport Fare
The Federal Government on Friday listed more motor parks where Nigerians can enjoy a 50% rebate on transport fare for return trips even as the festive period is on.
This was announced in a statement issued by the Special Assistant on Social Media to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dada Olusegun.
According to the statement by Olusegun, 20 more motor parks have been listed for the 50% rebate on transport fare for return trips.
They include Lagos – Join from Oshodi Terminal 3, Abuja – Join from Jabi Park, Onitsha (Join from Umugo Park (Port Harcourt Road), Aba – Join from Abia Polytechnic, Aba and Kano – Join from Balmary Park, Ring Road/Maidugri Bypass, Hotoro.
Others are Kaduna – Join from Mando Park (Lagos route), Join from Television Garage for the Eastern route, Jos – Join from Gadabiu Luxury Park, Enugu – (Abakiliki/Nsukka) – Join from Old Park in Enugu and Owerri – Join from Somachi Park.
Also on the list are Port Harcourt -. Join from Olu Obasanjo Ezenwata Park, Sokoto – Join from Sokoto Central Park, Gombe – Join from Gombe Central Park, Zakibiam – Join from Heavy Duty Park and Uyo – Join from The Young Shall Grow Park.
Making up the list are Uyo – Join from Young Shall Grow Park (No.17, Mosignor Akpan Avenue), Mbak Itam Itu (Akwa Ibom), Uyo – Join from The Young Shall Grow Park (No.17 Mosignor Akpan, Avenue, Mbak Itam Itu, Akwa Ibom) and Gombe – Join at Gombe Line Park, Opposite Government House, Gombe.
President Tinubu on 20 December 2023 announced a 50 percent cut as a discount for luxury bus travellers and free train services on all routes in the country which began on 21 December.
The government also declared that movement during the yuletide by train along the existing routes will be free of charge.
It said it is to enable Nigerians willing to travel to do so with less financial strain, adding that all the t’s and the i’s had been worked out with the stakeholders to tidy up the gesture.
The FG also said the gesture is aimed to provide succour to citizens who are heavily weighed down by the prevailing high cost of transportation commuting across the country, especially during the yuletide.
