A member of the National Youths Service Corps, Mr Emeh Nnamdi, who was declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force for impersonation and defamation of character, has been arrested.

Nnamdi was reported to have been arrested during a joint operation by INTERPOL operatives of Benin Republic and Nigeria on Friday, March 3, 2023.

The 26-year-old corps member had been declared wanted on February 20, 2023, by the Anambra State Police Command on the offence of unlawful possession of a firearm, money laundering, defamation of character, fraud, and impersonation.

He was also wanted in connection with allegations he made via his Gistlover Instagram handle, that top police officers in the state Police Command were involved in kidnapping, killing of suspects and human organ harvesting after extorting them.

The Nigerian police Force had launched a full scale investigation into the said allegations.

It was gathered that Nnamdi is an IT expert serving as a tracker in the Anambra State Police Command.

According to the report, the suspect is currently in police custody in Abuja.
