The police in Lagos have arrested a member of a notorious robbery/cultism gang, Christian Chukwudi a.k.a Marshall General for killing a Disc Jockey(DJ), Victor Dickson in Lagos.

It was gathered that On March 8, a group of boys stormed a hotel along Community Road, Abule Ado and shot the DJ on stage and inflicted a machete cut on him.

The 32-year-old DJ later died at hospital. According to spokesperson for Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, operatives responded to the scene and gave the assailants a hot pursuit as they escaped into Festac, Amuwo Odofin.

The 35-year-old Chukwudi, identified as one of the assailants who has been terrorising the area, was however arrested. A locally fabricated shotgun with one live cartridge was recovered from him at the hotel.

Hundeyin said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect was a leading member of a cult group. Hundeyin said: “Photograph of the corpse was taken and moved to the General Hospital, Yaba morgue.”

“Preliminary investigation is in progress, while the suspect and exhibits will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for consolidation of the case.”
