Tragedy struck in Kano on Friday when a Chinese man whose identity has yet to be known trailed one Ummukhulsum  Buhari, popularly known as Ummita to her residence in Janbulo and allegedly murdered her for unknown reason.

Sources told press that the murder of Ummukhulsum, said to be the girlfriend of the Chinese man, occurred at the popular Janbulo quarters in Kano.

It was gathered that the Chinese man trailed his victim into her room at Janbulo and allegedly slit her throat. Some persons were said to have apprehended the culprit before security agents arrived at the scene.

The Chinese man was said to have been captured on a close circuit camera standing in a pool of blood believed to be that of his late girlfriend inside her room.

In a viral video making the rounds in Kano, police were seen moving the Chinese man away in their Toyota Hilux van, while preventing an angry crowd from attacking him.
