The Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch has announced the passing away of Life Bencher and Former Chairman Body of Benchers, Chief George Uwechue SAN, Fnials (Owelle of Ogwashi Uku) today.

This was contained in a statement signed by the branch’s welfare secretary, Olaide Oluwayomi-Ajewole and seen by The Lawyer.

With heavy heart but total submission to the will of God, we announce the passage of Chief George Uwechue SAN, Fnials (Owelle of Ogwashi Uku) Life Bencher and Former Chairman Body of Benchers who died earlier today 29th October 2023.

The funeral Arrangements shall be circulated as released by the family.

May the Good Lord Grant his soul eternal rest. (Amen)
