Building Collapses in Alausa

Construction workers, yesterday, escaped death by whiskers, when the second decking of a two-storey building under construction partially collapsed at 17, Olanrewaju Street, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

The collapse happened after the building supporting the base caved in way.
The Guardian gathered that the incident occurred at about 1:03.p.m.

Officials of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS), who moved to the scene, were able to rescue the situation and forestall a secondary incident.

No one was trapped, while all the construction workers on site escaped unhurt.

Meanwhile, the state government has condoned off the structure for proper investigation into the remote cause of the collapse.
