The Body of Benchers has changed the venue of the Call to Bar Ceremony for successful aspirants scheduled to hold tomorrow, 27th of July.
The event which was earlier slated to hold at the premises of the Nigerian Law School in Bwari was shifted due to security concerns following the killing of officers of the Presidential Guard close to the Law School yesterday.
On a telephone enquiry, the Secretary of the Bench of Benchers, Daniel Tela confirmed to The Lawyer that after a meeting this afternoon, the BoB decided to relocate the venue of the ceremony to the Body of Benchers Secretariat, Behind EFCC New Headquarters, Jabi (Plot 688, Institute & Research District FCC, Phase 111, Abuja, FCT).
Tela also restated that the ceremony is exclusively for aspirants, and family members as well as well-wishers remain excluded from participating in it.
