Appeal Court to Hear PFAN’s Suit Against NFF November 21

The fight by the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), to bring equity, fair and equal representation to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), its Congress, Executive Board and Sub-Committees, continues as the Appeal Court of the Federal Capital Territory Division has fixed November 21 for ruling.

The chairman, PFAN task force, Harrison Jalla, stated yesterday that ‘parties have formally joined issues.’ He revealed that the PFAN task force had since challenged the ‘ambiguous’ court of Appeal ruling on September 29 with a 77 page response, adding that they are prepared to head to the Supreme court if not satisfied with the final ruling of the court.

Jalla hinted that no progress has been made on the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process initiated by the appellants, which first sitting took place on October 5, 2022, at Reno Hotels, Abuja.

“His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shuaibu, also joined the ADR process on October 11, 2022, with a formal invitation of members of the PFAN task force to Government House Benin City. No further Progress has been made in the last one month.

“The PFAN task force wish to assure all Nigeria current and retired footballers world wide that there is no alternative to reforms in Nigeria football. The monopoly of the States Football Association chairmen that has grossly retarded the growth of Nigeria football is being confronted frontally by the PFAN task force and must be broken,” Jalla stated.
