Amaechi Joins 2023 Presidential Race

Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi has declared his interest to run for the presidency in 2023.

Amaechi disclosed his intention at the Rivers All Progressives Congress (APC) rally at Port Harcourt Stadium.

The development follows his initial denial during a recent interview with a TV station.

He is to join other candidates like Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Govenor Yahaya Bello, Governor David Umahi, Senator Rochas and others Okorocha to slug it out for the APC ticket.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) emphasised parties must conduct primaries before June 3.
