3. Online Harassment: using digital platforms to bully, intimidate, or threaten others. (Punishable by up to 2 years imprisonment and/or a fine of up to N2 million).

4. Cyberstalking: using digital platforms to monitor, track, or harass others, often with malicious intent. (Punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment and/or a fine of up to N10 million).

Prevention and Protection

To protect yourself from cybercrimes:

1. Use strong, unique passwords and keep them confidential.

2. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) whenever possible.

3. Keep software and operating systems up-to-date.

4. Be cautious when clicking on links or downloading attachments from unknown sources.

5. Monitor your online accounts and credit reports regularly.

6. Report suspicious activity to the authorities.
