The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) has officially commenced preparations for the NBA 2024 elections.
In ECNBA Notice No.1, the Committee advised that payment of Bar Practicing Fees (BPF) for 2024 opens on January 1st, 2024 and closes on March 31st, 2024. Members were urged to visit the NBA Online Portal to register and update their details to ensure they are captured in the voters’ register.
The Notice was signed by the ECNBA Chairman, Oluseun Abimbola SAN and Secretary, Huwaiala Ibrahim on January 5th, 2024.

Dear Distinguished Colleagues,
The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) is pleased to officially commence our engagement with NBA members for the upcoming NBA 2024 elections. This notice, being the first of several to be issued in accordance with our powers under the NBA Constitution 2015 (As amended), underscores our commitment to conducting transparent, credible, free, and fair elections for our association.
In preparation for the elections, here are key points outlined in ECNBA Preliminary Notice No. 1:
1. Payment of Bar Practicing Fees (BPF):
The payment period for Bar Practicing fees for the year 2024 is from January 1, 2024, to March 31, 2024.
Members are urged to register/update their details on the NBA Online Portal at https://portal.nigerianbar.org.ng. This ensures accurate capture of member information.
For Android users, the mobile application can be downloaded from the Play store using the link: NBA Digital App on Play Store.
Apple users can download the mobile application from the Apple store using the link: NBA Digital App on Apple Store.
2. Payment Process:
After updating records, members can proceed to pay their 2024 Bar Practicing fee (BPF).
Automated receipts should be printed for record-keeping.
3. Video Guide:
A video guide to assist members in the process is available on the NBA YouTube page: NBA YouTube Guide.
4. Voters’ List Inclusion:
To be included in the voters’ list, BPF payment must be made through the NBA portal or the new NBA digital app, not via physical payment at the bank.
5. Future Notices:
In the coming weeks, additional notices will be issued regarding the election process, voter education, guidelines, and regulations for the NBA 2024 Elections.
Helplines and an email inquiry desk will be provided for quick communication, responses, and actions on member inquiries.
