Human rights advocate and lawyer, Femi Falana, has written a petition to the Lagos State Police Command to investigate the alleged death threats against the late singer Mohbad’s wife and son.

Recall, that llerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as, Mohbad, a former signee of the Marlian Record label, died on September 12, 2023 at the age of 27. He was buried the following day.

Following the outcry, on September 21, Mohbad’s body was exhumed by the police for an autopsy, although, the result is yet to be released to the public.

In Falana’s letter, dated December 28 and addressed to Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fayoade Adegoke, Falana & Falana Chambers said that the singer’s wife, Omowunmi and his son, Liam, are being threatened by some social media users.

The letter read in parts, “Request for the intervention of the office of the Lagos State Commissioner on the threat to lives, cyberbullying, criminal defamation of character of Cynthia Omowunmi Aloba and Liam Aloba and conduct likely to provoke breach of public peace”.

“Your office would recall that llerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, died under questionable circumstances in September 2023″.
