Industrial Court Receives Commonwealth Lawyers Association President on Courtesy Visit

The Hon. President of the National Industrial Court, Hon. Justice Benedict Kanyip, OFR received in audience the President of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, Mr. Brian Speers who was led by the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Yakubu Maikyau, OON at the Court Headquarters, Abuja.

While appreciating the guest for the historic gesture, Justice Kanyip reiterated the commitment of the court to the timely dispensation of justice in order to better promote harmonious relationships between employers and employees in line with the world’s best practices.

The President of Commonwealth Lawyers Association, Mr. Brian Speers was full of praises for the Industrial Court and commended the NBA President for the quality of relationship between the Bar and the Bench.

Eminent jurists in attendance were, Hon. Justice O. A. Obaseki-Osaghae, Hon. Hon. Justice O. Y. Anuwe, Hon. Justice R. B. Haastrup, Hon. Justice O. O. Oyewumi, and Hon. Justice I. S. Galadima.

The Principal Officers present were the Deputy Chief Registrar, Mr. Peter Udomiaye, Director of Finance and Account, Alhaji Bello Abd-Rafiu, and Director of Library, Mr. Ibrahim Safana.

On the NBA Side, the delegation included the General Secretary, Adesina Adegbite, FICMC, and the Assistant Publicity Secretary, Charles Ajiboye among others.
