The suspect, Temple Samuel, allegedly conspired with others to steal his boss’ Lexus ES330 and was at the verge of selling it when he was apprehended.
According to police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Samuel was arrested at Ogba alongside Benjamin Bassey, 32, Chukwuemeka Okorie, 29, and Joshua Agboche, 37.
Hundeyin said investigation revealed that Samuel drove the car from his employer’s car wash at Egbeda in the middle of the night, adding that he also stole the owner’s iPhone X and iPhone 13, as well as transferred N75,000 from his account.
He was said to have first moved the vehicle to Bassey’s house in Ikeja where they perfected plans for the sale.
Hundeyin further stated that Samuel had planned to use the proceeds of the sales of the car and other valuables he stole to process his traveling out of the country.
