Court Restrains Bank From Demolishing Firm in Abia
An Abia State High Court at Umuahia the state capital, has restrained the Platinum Mortgage Bank situated along Akanu Ibiam road, Umuahia from encroaching into the Petroleum Filling Station beside the said Bank.
The station, which was said to be owned by Abia state Government, was gathered to have been leased to Roserich Industries Ltd, who applied to the court to restrain the Bank from encroachment into the Station and or demolishing it.
Granting the order on Friday, Court vacation judge, Adiele Ogbonna ordered the defendant (Bank), its agents or anybody acting on their behalf to stop encroaching, demolishing or erecting any structure at the said government property pending the determination of the motion on notice.
Reacting, chairman of Roserich Industries Ltd (applicant) Chief Uchenna Okereke commended the Court verdict, saying it was taken in the interest of justice in accordance and in accordance with the law.
