FG Postpones Civil Service Promotion Exams Till Sept

The Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation has said promotion examinations for junior officers in the civil service will commence on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

This was disclosed in a circular signed by the Permanent Secretary, Career Management Office, Marcus Ogunbiyi, which was made available to newsmen on Tuesday.

Recall that the examination was slated for between Tuesday, August 2 and Friday, August 5, 2022, across the federation.

An earlier circular also noted that the payment of a non-refundable examination fee of N3, 000 per candidate was approved by the Public Service Examination Board.

The government, in a new circular, announced the postponement of the examination.

The circular, with reference number HCSF/CMO/MP/782/T3, partly read, “Postponement of the conduct of 2022 combined confirmation and promotion of Grade Level 2 to 6 junior officers.

“This is to inform you that the conduct of the 2022 Combined Confirmation and Promotion Examination which was originally scheduled to hold from Tuesday, August 2, and Friday, August 5, 2022 has been postponed.

“The examination has now been rescheduled as follows: a. deadline for registration/closure of portal: August 19, 2022 b. date of examination: Tuesday, September 13 to Friday, September 16, 2022.”
