The trial of civil actions in all High Courts across Ekiti State will be suspended from Monday 8th of August, 2022 to mark the beginning of the year 2022 annual vacation.
Ekiti State Chief Judge, Justice John Adeyeye, said the notice tagged annual vacation is under Order 45 Rule (4) (d) of Ekiti State High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2020.
A statement from the office of the Ekiti State Chief Judge said criminal matters and urgent civil motions will be heard and attended to during the vacation.
The release indicates that civil actions may be heard by a vacation judge based on the agreement of concerned parties.
Resumption for normal court activities will commence on Monday, 19th September 2022 while the attention of the general public and all counsel is, however, drawn to the fact that all courts in the state will remain open and operate throughout the vacation period.
