Fire Guts Residence Of Former Lagos CJ, Forced Him To Relocate
The home of a Ikoyi home of a Former Chief Judge of Lagos was early this morning engulfed in a fire outbreak.
The home which is located at 14 A, Ilabere Road, Ikoyi was said to have been gutted by flames at about 8am, today, 16th June, 2022 causing forcing the retired Judge to abruptly relocate.
According to reports, the cause of the inferno is yet to be unraveled but prompt response from officers of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), prevented it from causing further damage.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the event, and the compound’s fleet of automobiles was not set ablaze.
The identity of the particular Chief Judge is yet to be disclosed as at the time of this report, but eyewitnesses confirm that domestic workers were already carting away some personal belongings from the building,
Responding to the incident, Dr. Oke-Osanyintolu of LASEMA said: “The agency activated its response plan to the above location at around 0800hrs this morning (yesterday).
“A combined team of LASEMA Response Team, (LRT) and the Lagos State Fire Service managed to extinguish the residential fire and prevented it from spreading to adjoining properties.”
