Lawan Meets With NASS Workers Over Indefinite Strike

Senate President Ahmed Lawan has commenced a closed-door meeting with the leadership of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN).

Lawan is meant to dialogue with the workers in a bid to make them suspend their strike action, it was learnt.

The meeting started around 4:30pm on Friday when the Senate President got to the National Assembly complex.

The union on Monday commenced an indefinite strike action over alleged failure of the management of the National Assembly to keep to the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) it entered with the workers on full implementation of the National Assembly Condition of Service and payment of minimum wage arrears and other allowances.
